The resin is recorded as HDLPE but not confirmed; confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before any chemical service, because crosslinked and linear polyethylene behave differently with aggressive chemistry. The mistake to avoid
The costliest error on a 1.9 SG leg tank is treating the gasket as an afterthought. Note that the same tank calls for Viton on the acids and oxidizers but EPDM on the salts and glycols, and Aflas on peracetic acid — putting an EPDM gasket on a sodium hypochlorite or sulfuric acid line is a classic field failure even though the polyethylene body is fine. The same goes for fitting metal: DEF and peracetic acid want 316 stainless, not PVC. The second trap is the resin question above; do not assume crosslinked versus linear PE for an aggressive chemical until it is confirmed.
