On a truck, a trailer or the ground
At 71 inches wide the tank sits inside a standard trailer deck with room for the bands, and at 58 inches tall it stays under the sight line on a flatbed. Full, it puts close to seven tons on the deck with water and more with fertilizer, so the trailer's rating, the hitch and the tie-downs are the limit, not the tank. Strap it through the leg recesses, never over the lid, and use the support bands Norwesco makes for this tank wherever it rides on a vehicle; tell us the tank part number and we will put the right bands on the same order. On the ground it needs a flat, continuous surface under the full 142 inch length of the legs; a pad that is true at the ends and dished in the middle loads the centre legs differently from the outer ones. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch fitting with a 2 inch siphon. The siphon draws from the bottom of the tank through a fitting mounted above the liquid, so nothing penetrates the wall below the waterline; your pump has to prime and lift. Tell us the pump and we will confirm the arrangement.
- Lid. A 16 inch lid on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float in, and get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
