Where it goes

A cradle tank has no legs of its own. It is shaped to sit in a cradle or saddle that follows its curve, and that frame carries the load to the deck or the chassis. At 66 by 40 inches it fits across a utility trailer or a flatbed with room to walk past, and at 30 inches tall the lid is reachable from the ground beside a trailer. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Check anything else against our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill; the entries cradle tank buyers ask about most are urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride and aluminum sulfate. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water need a heavy duty tank, not this one, and nothing hotter than 120 F should go in.

Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 1-1/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed. Your valve or hose adapter threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Inlet. Norwesco lists the same 1-1/4 inch bulkhead fitting as the inlet, which suits a return line or a recirculation loop on a sprayer. If you only need one connection, tell us and we will confirm what the tank arrives with.
3. Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid: enough to fill from a hose and to drop a float or a suction line in, not enough to get a hand inside for cleaning, so plan on rinsing through the lid.
