A 2100 gallon black heavy duty vertical tank, wide and low
The Norwesco 2100 gallon black heavy duty vertical storage tank, part number 43188, is a rotomolded polyethylene tank 87 inches in diameter and 89 inches tall, weighing 349 lb empty. It is a squat tank, about as wide as it is tall, in Norwesco's heavy duty wall rated for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity. That takes in water, every common liquid fertilizer and most of the chemical solutions polyethylene handles; 2100 gallons of water weighs 17514 lb, and at the full 1.9 rating the contents can reach 33277 lb. It comes with a 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting as the outlet and a 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. Where it goes and what it holds
Buy this shape when height is the constraint: under a lean-to roof, inside a shed with a low door header, under a deck or a mezzanine, or anywhere a taller 2100 gallon tank would put the manway out of reach. At 89 inches the top of the tank sits a little over seven feet up, so most people can open the manway from a step. The heavy duty wall is for liquid fertilizer, chemical feed and other loads heavier than water, and for a tank that stays full year round; for plain water the standard wall tank in the same mould is the cheaper choice. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall. Your valve, camlock or pump suction threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of pipe within a foot of the wall so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill from a hose, drop a float or a level sensor in, and get a hand and a brush inside to clean. Leave the vent clear so air can move as the level changes.
- Extra ports. Only the one outlet comes installed. A second draw, a recirculation return or an overflow means extra bulkhead fittings; tell us when you order and we quote them with the tank.
