2100 Gallon Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

The all-round shape in the 2000 gallon class

Eighty-seven inches across and 89 inches tall is close to a cube, which is why this is the shell most people end up with when nothing on the site forces a tall or a low one. It stands steadily on a pad, fills from the ground, keeps the manway in reach, and goes through a standard double door standing up. Because it is built at Fairfield, Griffin, Hanford, Lancaster, Owego, Shawnee, Sheldon, St. Bonifacius and Tooele, the freight is usually the shorter lane in the 2000 gallon class, and that is often the deciding number on a tank this size. Openings, fittings and the pad

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall. Thread your valve or camlock in and support the first length of pipe on its own.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, for the fill hose, a float switch and cleaning. Leave the vent open.
3. The pad. The whole 87 inch circle needs continuous, level contact: a slab, a steel plate or a compacted and screeded bed with a retained edge. No rails, no pallet, no shim. Strap the tank to a wall, a frame or ground anchors before the first fill.
4. The liquid. Up to 1.5 specific gravity and 120 F. Heavier liquids need the 1.9 rated heavy duty versions below.
