Where it goes

A vertical tank stands on its own flat bottom, so the pad is the installation. It needs a flat, level, continuous surface at least 102 inches across with no gravel points, drain or slope under it; a full tank is a concentrated load of better than 25000 lb on that circle, and much more at the full 1.9 rating. Compacted base with a bed of sand or a concrete pad both work; ask us for the pad guidance before the tank arrives. Leave room around the tank to get at the outlet and to walk round it, and leave room above the manway to open it. What goes in it

Liquid fertilizer is what most buyers put in a heavy duty vertical, with water and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles behind it. The 1.9 rating is the reason to pick this tank over the standard one: if the liquid is heavier than water, you want this wall thickness. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall. Your valve, camlock or pump suction threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Inlet. None is fitted. Fill through the manway, or tell us where you want a fill port and we will talk through the options before the order ships.
3. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean. The vent is what lets the tank breathe as it fills and empties; never seal it.

The tank ships as an oversize load from Norwesco's Fairfield, Texas plant, 102 by 102 by 93 inches and 455 lb, on a flatbed or a tank trailer rather than in a box truck. You need room for the truck to get in and a forklift, a loader or several people to roll it off; it is light for its size and rolls on its side on grass.
