Why the heavy duty build

Full of water this tank holds 25020 lb of liquid. Full of a liquid at the 1.9 rating limit it holds about 47540 lb, close to twenty four tons, and every pound of that pushes outward on the lower sidewall all day. The heavy duty wall is built for the second figure; the standard 1.5 build is not. Buy this tank when the liquid is heavier than water, when it will cycle full and empty often, or when the 3 year warranty is worth the extra weight. Check anything other than water against polyethylene before the first fill.

Where it goes

A fertilizer plant yard, a chemical day tank, a water treatment chemical room, a fire reserve or a hauled water supply are the usual homes. At 102 inches across and 93 inches tall, the manway is reachable from a short step. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the sidewall. A 2 inch ball valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight in. Dry-fit it facing the pipe run, tighten, and support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own. Tell us before the order if you need a bigger outlet.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top for the fill line, a float switch and cleaning. The vent has to pass the air that moves with the liquid; keep it clear.
3. Liquid and temperature. At or below 1.9 specific gravity and at or below 120 F.
