At this size the base is the purchase and the tank is the easy part. Eight feet across and ten feet tall, the shell holds a full tanker delivery with room to spare, and once full it is a concentrated load on a 96 inch circle. Build the pad for continuous contact across the whole circle: a poured slab checked level with an instrument, a steel deck plate, or a compacted and screeded bed that will stay put through a wet season. Then think about the height: measure the clear height at the final position and at the lowest obstruction on the path in, plan a ladder for the manway, and strap the tank to a wall, a frame or ground anchors before the first fill. Openings, fittings and the pad

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a siphon tube. The tube reaches down inside the tank so the outlet draws from near the floor while the fitting itself sits higher in the wall, above the level where sediment collects. Your valve or camlock threads into the fitting; support the first length of pipe on its own.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top for the fill hose, a float and cleaning. Leave the vent open.
3. The pad. Continuous, level contact across the whole 96 inch circle. No rails, no pallet, no timber packed under one side. A slight fall away keeps the tank out of its own overflow; leave room to reach the outlet with two hands and a wrench.
4. The liquid. Up to 1.5 specific gravity and 120 F. Heavier liquids need the 1.9 rated heavy duty version linked below.
