Where this tank goes
This is a carry tank, not an installed one: water to a remote job, spray mix for a field edge, stock water on a side by side, a rinse tank on a landscape trailer. The 41 by 27 inch footprint is the point of this part number; it fits across a UTV box where the 48 inch loaf will not, and it still lies flat at 17 inches tall. Full, it weighs about 417 lb plus the tank, so check the vehicle's cargo rating before you fill it; the rating, not the tank, is usually the limit. Strap it across the body through the tie downs, never over the lid. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer, spray mix and the farm chemicals that polyethylene handles. Check anything other than water in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill, and keep the contents under 120 F. White lets you see the level through the wall and also lets light in, so empty and rinse the tank between jobs rather than leaving water standing in the sun. Openings and fittings
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a bucket and to get a hand inside to clean. The vent lets air in as liquid goes out; keep it clear.
- Outlet. Norwesco lists no factory outlet fitting on this tank. If you want a bulkhead fitting for a hose or a small pump, tell us the size when you order and we will confirm what the wall takes; a bulkhead fitting needs a flat area of wall at least as wide as its flange so the gasket seals all the way round.
