Where it goes

Water for livestock in a far pasture, a wash-down or drinking water supply on a job site, spray water for a UTV, and indoor emergency or rainwater storage where the tank has to go through a door are the normal uses. The flat bottom and the 20 inch width are the reasons to pick a loaf over a round tank: it sits flat against a bed rail or a wall and does not roll. What goes in it

Water is the normal load. The 1.5 rating means a liquid up to 1.5 times the weight of water, 12.52 lb per gallon, which also covers most liquid fertilizers and many common farm chemicals; check anything other than water in our chemical compatibility guide before it goes in. White lets you see the level through the wall and lets light reach the contents, so for long-term water storage keep the tank out of direct sun or expect to clean algae; the black version of this tank is the other answer. Openings and fittings

1. Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top, wide enough to fill from a hose, drop a pump intake in, and get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
2. Outlet. None from the factory. Add a bulkhead fitting low on an end wall where the pipe will run; a bulkhead needs a flat area of wall at least as wide as its flange so the gasket seals all the way round. Dry-fit it before tightening, and tighten by hand plus a quarter turn.
