Norwesco 50 Gallon Plastic Portable Loaf Utility Tank

Where this tank goes

This is a tank you carry rather than install: water for a remote job, spray mix for a field edge, stock water on a UTV, a rinse tank on a trailer. Full, it weighs about 417 lb plus the tank, which is inside the bed rating of most half ton pickups and most utility vehicles, but check the vehicle's rating before you fill it, because that number and not the tank is usually the limit. Strap it through the bed tie downs across the body, not over the lid. At 48 inches long it lies across a full size pickup bed between the wheel wells or along a UTV box; measure the box before you order. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer, spray mix and the farm chemicals that polyethylene handles. Check anything other than water in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill, and keep the contents under 120 F. White lets you see the level through the wall; it also lets light in, so empty and rinse the tank between jobs rather than leaving water standing in the sun for weeks. Openings and fittings

1. Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a bucket and to get a hand inside to clean. The vent lets air in as you draw liquid out, so leave it clear.
2. Outlet. Norwesco lists no factory outlet fitting on this tank. If you want a bulkhead fitting for a hose or a pump, tell us the size when you order and we will confirm what fits the wall; a bulkhead fitting needs a flat area of wall at least as wide as its flange so the gasket seals all the way round.
