Outlet and manway
- Outlet: 2 inch, installed; thread in a valve and run a flexible line to the pump suction, with the valve supported off the floor.
- Access: 18 inch lid; filled by hand, wand or transfer pump, and vented outside on anything that fumes.
The white wall shows the level through it, which is the point of a day tank: the operator sees the charge go down over the shift. A float switch for low level protects the dosing pump, and a calibration column on the suction lets the feed rate be checked by eye. Keep the lid closed against vapor loss, and set the tank in a spill tray; a 30 inch tank fits any of them. Label it so the fire inspector and the workplace inspector read the same thing.
