A 120 gallon tank with a 3 inch outlet
The Snyder 1540200W94303 is a white polyethylene vertical liquid storage tank, 32 inches across and 41 inches tall, holding 120 gallons at 50 pounds. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.5, or 1,501 pounds of contents against 1,001 for water, the 18 inch manway is wide for a tank this size, and the 3 inch outlet is the unusual part: it empties the tank fast, for a batch that is dumped into a mixer or a sprayer in one go. It ships as standard LTL freight.

Built to empty quickly
Most tanks this size carry a 1 or 2 inch outlet sized for a small pump; a 3 inch outlet drains 120 gallons by gravity in a couple of minutes, which is what a batch mix tank, a sprayer nurse tank or a wash-down reservoir wants. The 1.5 wall covers brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered as well as water, and a 32 inch base under 41 inches cannot tip. The 120 gallon vertical tank buyers guide compares the shapes at this volume across makers; the tank sizing calculator tells you whether 120 gallons covers the batch, and the tank sizing guide covers the reserve.

Outlet and manway
- Outlet: 3 inch, at the base; a full-port valve and a short run of hard pipe, supported off the floor.
- Access: 18 inch manway, wide enough for a hand and a hose at once.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
A 3 inch valve on a 120 gallon tank is opened with the receiving vessel already under it, because the whole tank is on the floor in a couple of minutes if it is not. The white wall shows the level at a glance. On a sprayer trailer the tank is strapped through the manway ring and the outlet faces the pump; in a shop it stands on a bench or a low stand so the outlet clears the receiving vessel.
Who buys this tank
A batch mix tank for fertilizer or chemical that is dumped into a sprayer, a nurse tank on a trailer, a wash-down reservoir, a brine tank for a small softener, and a make-up tank in a shop. One liquid per tank, labeled, rinsed between batches.
