Where it goes

The 140 F limit with a 1.5 rating suits liquids close to water in weight that are held or received warm: wash and rinse supply, boiler and cooling tower make-up, dilute treatment and process solutions, bulk storage in a hot building, anywhere a release must stay off the ground or out of a drain. If your liquid is heavier than 1.5 times water, ask us for a version with a higher rating. The pad is a civil job at this size: 125,100 lb on a 142 inch circle wants a designed, cured, level slab under the whole base. Indoors, measure 226 inches plus a platform above the manway. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill point, inspection point and vent in one. A warm headspace moves more air as the level changes, so never restrict the vent. At 226 inches the tank needs a fixed ladder or platform with fall protection.
2. Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the line size, valve and pump arrangement and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
3. The liquid. Give us the chemical, its concentration and its working temperature. Gaskets and valve seats are chosen against temperature as well as chemistry, and a warm-service weep almost always starts at a fitting.
4. The space between the walls. No leak detection is listed with the tank. Specify it separately and inspect on a written schedule. Snyder's drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.

Snyder sells this 142 inch body under several part numbers that differ in resin and rating rather than size: the 10000 gallon XLPE black double wall tank 1006600N48, the 10000 gallon XLPE double wall tank 1006600N40 and the 10000 gallon sulfuric acid double wall tank 1006600N30; each page states its own rating. Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's Lincoln, Nebraska plant, 142 by 142 by 226 inches at 6,400 lb. A load this size may be routed to us by phone rather than priced online; call if the estimator sends you there. Plan the route, the crane and the set position before it leaves the plant, and lift from the base, never by the manway. Set it plumb on the cured slab, fill it with water and hold the 83,400 lb load while you check the manway seal and the base. Drain, dry, inspect the space between the walls and write the date on the shell. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 1006600N46.
