A shape for a room tight on floor and on headroom

Snyder makes 1,100 gallons in more than one shell, and this is the one for a room that is tight on floor and on headroom at the same time. A 64 inch circle sets against a wall or between two vessels already in place; 90 inches of height still leaves room for a fill line and a vent above the manway under most building ceilings. Measure the doorway and the ceiling before you order. A rotationally moulded tank carries its load on the whole floor, so 17,431 lb of a dense liquid bears on the full 64 inch circle. Pour the slab to our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, with a berm where the liquid is regulated. Strap the empty tank to structure or to anchors in the slab the day it lands; 300 lb of tall shell moves in a gust. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. Polyethylene suits water, most liquid fertilizers and many common chemicals. The 1.9 rating covers brines, concentrates and dense solutions that a standard wall would not. If the liquid is heavier than 1.9 times water, or warmer than 120 F in service, tell us before you order.
2. The outlet. This page lists the manway, not a bottom fitting. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you want and we will confirm what this tank takes, in what material, before anything is drilled.
3. The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented, 90 inches off the pad. That is platform height, so plan a fixed platform with a rail or a tied-off platform ladder with the tank, and land the fill line at the manway so nobody carries a hose up to it.

Whatever is plumbed at the base sits on its own support off the pad with a flexible connector to hard pipe, so the wall carries liquid and not the weight of a valve and a pump.
