Outlet and manway on a low tank
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 55 inches up, opened from the ground; fill from a truck or a tote through a dip tube, vent outside on anything that fumes, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Under five feet of liquid above the outlet, so the pump sits at pad level and primes by gravity; a low-level float shuts it off before it draws air, and the sender is the gauge on a black wall. Keep the manway closed against rain and vapor loss, label the one chemical the tank holds, and where it freezes, wrap or trace the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
