Snyder part number 1031100N51 is a 12500 gallon double wall tank in black high density linear polyethylene: an inner tank inside an outer containment shell, so the tank brings its own secondary containment. It is 142 inches in diameter, 274 inches tall and weighs 9,500 lb empty. On top is an 18 inch threaded vented manway. The wall is rated for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity with a service limit of 120 F. 12500 gallons of water weighs 104,250 lb; at the full 1.9 rating the contents can weigh about 198,100 lb. Where it goes
This is bulk contained storage for liquids well above the weight of water, held at ambient temperature: treatment chemicals at a water or wastewater works, process chemicals received by the tanker load, any site where a release must stay off the ground. The 120 F limit means it is not the tank for liquids held hot. If your liquid is close to water in weight, the lighter versions of this shell below cost you less wall you will not use. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill point, inspection point and vent in one, so never blank it off. At 274 inches it needs a fixed ladder or platform with fall protection.
- Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the line size, valve and pump arrangement and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
- The liquid. Give us the chemical and its concentration. Gaskets and valves are chosen against the liquid, and a weep almost always starts at a fitting.

Snyder sells this 142 inch body under several part numbers that differ in resin and rating rather than size: the 12500 gallon HDPE double wall tank 1031100N45, the 12500 gallon XLPE double wall tank 1031100N40 and the 12500 gallon sulfuric acid double wall tank 1031100N30; each page states its own rating. The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's Lincoln, Nebraska plant, 142 by 142 by 274 inches at 9,500 lb. A load this size may be routed to us by phone rather than priced online; call if the estimator sends you there. Plan the route, the crane and the set position before it leaves the plant, and lift from the base, never by the manway. Set it plumb on the cured slab, fill it with water and hold the 104,250 lb load while you check the manway seal and the base. Drain, dry, inspect the space between the walls and write the date on the shell. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 1031100N51.
