Snyder part number 1031100N40 is a 12500 gallon double wall tank moulded in natural white crosslinked linear polyethylene. An inner tank sits inside an outer containment shell, so the vessel carries its own secondary containment and the site needs no poured bund. It is 142 inches in diameter, 274 inches tall and weighs 8,500 lb empty, with an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. The wall is rated for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity with a service limit of 140 F (60 C). 12500 gallons of water weighs 104,250 lb; at the full 1.5 rating the contents can weigh 156,375 lb. Where it goes
This is bulk contained storage for liquids up to one and a half times the weight of water: water itself, many liquid fertilizers and a range of treatment and process chemicals. It suits a plant or a farm supply yard that takes tanker loads and cannot let a release reach soil or a drain. If your liquid is heavier than 1.5, this is the wrong tank; call us and we will find a tank rated for it. The 140 F limit allows for liquids that arrive or run warm.
At this size the pad is a civil job. Up to 156,375 lb on a 142 inch circle wants a designed, cured, level slab, finished before the tank is booked. At 274 inches tall the manway needs a fixed ladder or platform with fall protection, and an indoor location needs that height plus room above to work. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill point, inspection point and vent. Never blank the vent off while the tank fills or drains.
- Outlet and fill. No outlet, fill connection or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the truck fill, the draw line size and the valves, and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
- The liquid. Check it in our chemical compatibility guide and give us the concentration and density.
- The space between the walls. No leak detection is listed with the tank. Specify it separately and inspect on a written schedule. Snyder's drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.

The tank ships at freight class 250 from Snyder's Lincoln, Nebraska plant, 142 by 142 by 274 inches at 8,500 lb. At 274 inches it cannot ride upright on a highway trailer, so it travels on its side as an oversize load, and a load this size may be routed to us by phone rather than priced online. Plan the route, the crane and the set position before it ships, and lift only as Snyder's handling instructions direct, never by the manway. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 1031100N40. Set it plumb on the cured slab, fill it with water and hold the 104,250 lb load while you check the base and the manway seal, then drain, dry and inspect between the walls.
