Why black, and where it goes
Pick the black wall when the liquid will sit for weeks where light reaches it: a water reserve beside a pump house or a cabin, a nutrient or fertilizer concentrate in a greenhouse, a treatment chemical that weakens in the sun. The cost of black is that the level is hidden, so plan a sight tube on the outlet line, a float gauge, or a dipstick through the top. The shape is tall and narrow, 175 gallons on a 29 inch circle, which suits corners and pump rooms where floor space runs out before headroom does. What to check before you buy
- Outlet. A 1 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting. Dry-fit the valve first, tighten by hand plus a little, and support the valve and line off the tank wall.
- Top opening. No lid or manway size is listed for this product. Tell us how you fill and vent it, and we will confirm with Snyder what the top of 1008400C34 carries before it ships. The top is 66 inches up before any stand, so plan a step or a fill line.
