Bought for the weight, not the gallons

The one part the sheet lists beside this tank is not a portable tank at all, and the contrast is worth the space. It holds a similar volume and it is a completely different answer to the problem: a fixed station with a basin under it, built to stand in one place beside a dosing pump and catch what the tank lets go, listed at 72 pounds against this tank's 16 and at 47 by 36 inches in plan against this tank's 24 by 19. Neither replaces the other. Buy the station when the liquid stays in one room, feeds a pump and needs containment under it. Buy this tank when the liquid goes to the work: on a truck, on a skid, on a trailer, off again at the end of the day. We name the station as the sheet names it and claim no portable or applicator duty for it, and nothing about a containment basin transfers to this tank, which has none. Filling and venting through 6 inches

• The air path first: 6 inches is the only opening on the sheet and it does two jobs. It is where the liquid goes in and it is where air comes back while a pump or a lance draws the tank down. A small body empties fast, so a tight lid with no clear vent path will pull the wall inward quickly. Keep the vent path clear, look at it whenever the lid is off, and close the lid before the vehicle moves.
• Filling: hose end below the rim, attended, and measured rather than guessed. On a 30 gallon tank a few gallons is a large share of the load, so a marked fill level is worth more here than it is on a big tank.
• Cleaning: 6 inches lets a wash wand in and not much else. The rinse is a flushing routine rather than a scrubbing one, which is the practical reason to keep one tank to one product and to label it in words.
• Outlet and pump: the sheet publishes no outlet, no inlet and no bulkhead, so none is claimed. The suction, the valve and the pump are specified with the order or fitted by whoever mounts the tank, and the pump belongs below the tank's low point with a short falling run into it. At 23 inches of body height there is very little standing head, so a self priming pump or a foot valve is the honest answer.
• Mounting: no tie-down point, no bracket and no load rating appears on the sheet. Continuous support under the full base, straps over the body at both ends, nothing driven through the tank: that is good practice, not a published rating, and we will not print a rating that does not exist.
• Ratings: a specific gravity of 1.5, 250 pounds of water, 375 pounds of max contents, and a service limit of 120 F / 48 C.

Name the liquid when you order and the fittings, gaskets and bolting are matched to it.
