Fittings and the real usable volume
Per the technical drawing on this page, the connections are a 6" threaded/vented inlet and a cap with a 4-1/2" access opening. The 6" threaded port needs a matching threaded bulkhead and gasket sized to it, and the 4-1/2" access cap must seat against its gasket to preserve the sealed interstitial annulus between the inner and outer walls. Note that 35 gallons is nominal capacity: on a containment tank you size for freeboard, so your real working volume sits below the rated number once you account for thermal expansion and headspace. The mistake to avoid
The 1.9 SG rating is the contents-density ceiling, not a free pass. Stay at or under 1.9 specific gravity for whatever you store, and govern by the 555 lb contents limit rather than the gallon number alone when your liquid is denser than water. The other common miss on a double wall: the 4-1/2" access cap is your interstitial inspection and inner-tank access point, so keep it reachable, and never plumb a fitting through the outer wall in a way that defeats the containment annulus.
