A drum's worth, with a lid you can work through

Sixty gallons is a little more than a standard drum, so this tank takes a full drum transfer with room to spare. What sets it apart from the smaller solution tanks is the 14 inch lid on a 26 inch tank: there is room to pour from a pail, lower a mixer shaft, hang a suction tube and a level float, and still see the liquid. At 41 inches tall the lid is at about waist height. Put it beside a metering pump at a well house, a pool or spa plant room, a boiler or closed loop, a greenhouse fertigation bench or a food plant's cleaning station. The outer wall keeps a leak from the inner tank off the floor, which is often the reason a site wants a double wall tank at this size at all. Black keeps light off the contents. What to check before you buy

1. Lid. A 14 inch threaded vented lid. Keep the vent clear so the pump never pulls the tank in, and thread the lid down after every fill.
2. Outlet. No outlet size is listed for this part number. Most feed tanks this size draw through the top. For a bottom fitting, tell us the size and we confirm it with Snyder; the drawing linked under Technical Drawing on this page shows the tank.
3. Footing. Up to about 951 lb on a 26 inch base. A shelf or skid deck must carry that across the whole base.
4. Volume you can use. Leave space below the lid for expansion and for the suction tube; the Snyder double wall freeboard note explains how much. The tank sizing calculator gives days per fill.
