Snyder Industries 4100 Gallon ASTM Black Vertical Storage Tank

A practical size for farms, homes and shops

A 4,100 gallon tank covers a lot of ordinary jobs: a well buffer so the pump is not short-cycling, a livestock water reserve, rainwater off a shop roof, irrigation for a garden or an orchard, a wash bay supply, or liquid fertilizer at the edge of a field. At 102 by 130 inches it fits a standard pad, stands beside a building without towering over it, and keeps the manway a short climb for inspection and cleaning. There is enough water over the base fitting to keep a gravity feed moving through most of the draw and a pump below the outlet primed. Set it on a level slab in full contact with the floor, built to our concrete pad sizing guide; a moulded tank bears on its whole base and a soft corner is the usual cause of a stressed floor. At 850 lb empty it is light enough to shift in a strong wind, so tie it down before the first fill. What to check before you buy

1. The weight of the liquid. 1.5 specific gravity is the ceiling. For brine or a dense concentrate, the 1.9 rated heavy duty version of this shell is the one to buy, and we list it.
2. The outlet. No bottom fitting is listed for this tank. Tell us the pipe size and what the tank feeds and we will confirm the fitting before you order.
3. The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented on top, wide enough for a fill hose, a float switch and a brush.
4. Cold weather. Protect the valve and the first pipe run in a freezing climate; the plumbing freezes first.

The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the lane cost to your ZIP. Plan equipment and a second pair of hands to unload and set it, with straps round the body rather than anything through the manway. Fill it with water first and look at the base and the fitting after a day before it goes into service.
