Snyder makes 4,500 gallons two ways, this column on a 102 inch base and a low tank on a 143 inch one, and the roof decides: under twelve feet with a tight floor, this one; under eight feet with a yard, the other. Fittings on a tall tank
- Outlet: 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; tell us the liquid when ordering and the fitting is matched to it, with a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 142 inches up; a platform with a rail for anyone who opens it. Fill down a dip tube, not over the rim; run the vent outside on a chemical that fumes; and size that vent to the truck's pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Twelve feet of liquid above a 3 inch outlet is a strong flooded suction, and the outlet drains a full tank in a working shift; the pump sits below the outlet and primes itself, and a low-level float stops it before the tank runs dry. Keep the manway closed against vapor loss, label the one chemical the tank holds, and inspect the headspace wall from the manway with a light. Cold climates: heat-trace or insulate the outlet valve and the first pipe run, and stop worrying about the body, which ices from the top down without harm.
