Bulkhead and manway, both within reach
- Outlet: 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; tell us the liquid when ordering and the fitting is matched to it, with a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 104 inches up, reached from a step; fill through a dip tube to the floor, vent outside on anything that fumes, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Under nine feet of liquid above a 3 inch outlet is a flooded suction to the last few inches, and the outlet drains a full tank in a working shift; put the pump below the outlet, where gravity keeps it primed, and let a low-level float shut it down before it runs dry. The manway stays closed so vapor stays in, the tank carries the name of the one chemical in it, and the wall above the liquid line gets a look with a light at every opening. Freeze protection goes on the valve and the first pipe run, not the tank; the body ices from the top down and shrugs it off.
