Where it goes

At 47 inches the top of the shell is at about waist height, so this tank goes under a mezzanine or a pipe rack, on a roof deck, on a trailer that has to clear a bridge, in a low shed, and on a bermed pad where a tall shell would stand above the wall of the berm. 1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway at 47 inches, opened standing on the pad with a clear view of the thread. A wand reaches most of the floor from the rim. Keep the cover threaded shut between fills; an easy opening is a habit problem.
2. Outlet. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off arrangement you want when you order and we will confirm in writing what this tank accepts at the base and in what material before anything is drilled. A shallow tank has little standing head, so a transfer pump sits below the outlet elevation with a low-level float.
