Snyder Industries 710 Gallon ASTM XLPE Heavy Duty Vertical Storage Tank

A dense liquid in a room you can stand up in

The plant that doses a dense chemical slowly buys 710 gallons of heavy duty wall: a lift station or well house feeding a few gallons an hour, a small plating or finishing shop, a cooling tower skid with inhibitor and biocide, a laboratory or pilot plant bulk supply, a service trailer build, a car wash with concentrated detergent. At 68 inches the manway is within reach from a step rather than a platform, and the tank rides in a box truck or on a skid without a height permit.

At 185 lb empty this is the lightest tank in its group, so band it even though it looks too short to need it, and on a skid bolt it down rather than block it in place. What to check before you buy

1. The pad. A rotomoulded tank bears on its whole floor, so 5,921 lb of water, or 11,251 lb at the rating, lands on a 60 inch circle. Pour it to our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, inside containment sized to the tank.
2. The pump. On a dosing tank the pump is the process, so give it a flooded suction: mount the metering pump below the outlet, keep the line short with no high point to trap air, give a diaphragm pump a calibration column, and fit a low-level cut-out.
3. The outlet. The 18 inch threaded vented manway is the only opening carried on this page. Name the chemical, the strength you buy and the draw-off you want, and we will confirm the fitting, its size, material and gasket before anything is drilled. 4. Fill and vent. A dip tube to the floor, the vent piped outdoors on anything that fumes. Size the vent to the truck's pump.
5. The lid. A lid people can reach is a lid people leave open. Keep it threaded shut between deliveries so vapour stays in and rain stays out.

Whatever is plumbed at the base sits on its own support with a flexible connector to hard pipe.

This 60 by 68 inch shell is also sold in black, for a liquid that fades or grows in daylight: the 710 gallon black heavy duty XLPE tank and the 710 gallon black heavy duty tank, with the 710 gallon HDPE vertical tank as the high density resin version. One size down on a narrower base is the 550 gallon black heavy duty vertical tank; one size up is the 750 gallon heavy duty XLPE vertical tank. Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's Chowchilla, CA plant, 60 by 60 by 68 inches at 185 lb: one pallet, two people, no crane. Price the lane to your ZIP with the freight cost estimator. Straps under the body, never a sling through the manway, and set it on the cured pad or bolted to the skid frame in one move. Check the part number against 1700200N42 on the bill of lading, then fill with water to the manway, hold it, walk the base, and dry the tank before the chemical arrives.
