A complete inner tank sits inside the outer shell, so the vessel is its own secondary containment. It is 120 inches in diameter, 172 inches tall and weighs 3,200 lb empty, with an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. The wall is rated for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity with a service limit of 140 F (60 C). 5500 gallons of water weighs 45,870 lb; at the full 1.5 rating the contents can weigh 68,805 lb. Where it goes
A 1.5 rating covers liquids up to one and a half times the weight of water: water, most liquid fertilizers and many common treatment chemicals. That makes this the contained bulk tank for a farm supply yard, a co-op, a water system or a plant that receives by the tanker and has to keep a release off the ground without pouring a dike. A heavier liquid needs a different tank; call us and we will find one rated for it. The 140 F limit gives room for warm product.
Before the tank, the slab: up to 68,805 lb on a 120 inch circle needs a designed, cured, level pad. At 172 inches tall the manway needs a fixed ladder or platform with fall protection; under a roof, measure that height plus room to work. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill point, vent and inspection opening. Keep the vent open during every fill.
- Outlet and fill. No outlet, fill connection or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the truck connection, the draw line size and your valves, and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
- The liquid. Check it in our chemical compatibility guide and give us its density and strength.

It travels on its side as a wide load, and a load this size may be routed to us by phone rather than priced online. Book the crane, clear the route and agree the set position before it ships; lift only as Snyder's handling instructions direct, never by the manway. Check the bill of lading against 5660000N40 at the tailgate. Stand it plumb on the cured slab, fill it with water, hold the 45,870 lb load while you check the base and the manway, then drain, dry and look between the walls before the first delivery.
