Where it goes

This tank is a bund you do not have to build. Process and rinse water, boiler and cooling tower make-up, dilute treatment solutions, liquid fertilizer at an agricultural retail site, wash-down supply in food and beverage plants: duties where the product is near the weight of water but a release would still reach a drain or a floor that matters. The 120 inch circle fits a plant room corner or a gap beside a process line, and 4,000 lb empty is an easier lift on the day than the heavier versions of this shell, though it changes nothing about the pad, which carries the liquid. Design the slab for 81,315 lb, level and continuous across the whole footprint, cured before delivery. Indoors, measure the clear height above the final position with a platform allowed for over the 199 inch shell. If the liquid is dense, or runs hot, the same shell is sold at a higher rating and we list those versions below. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top at 199 inches. It is the fill point, the inspection point and the vent; plan the drop pipe, the level instrument and the rinse method together, and put a platform with fall protection in the installation drawing.
2. Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Give us the line size, the valve and the pump arrangement when you order and we will confirm with Snyder what 5670000N49 carries and what can be added before it ships.
3. The liquid. Name it, with concentration and temperature. The 1.5 rating and the 120 F limit are the two figures to hold against your worst case, and the fitting materials are chosen against the chemistry.
4. Level. The wall is black, so a level instrument and a low level cut-out chosen with the pump are the only level you have.
5. The space between the walls. No leak detection is listed with the tank. Specify it separately and inspect on a written schedule; the interstitial space testing guide covers how double wall systems are checked. Snyder's drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's Lincoln, Nebraska plant, 120 by 120 by 199 inches at 4,000 lb. Walk the route for height before the truck is booked, and lift from the base with a crane or a forklift that has the reach; never by the manway. Set it plumb on the cured slab, fill with water, hold the 54,210 lb load while you read the manway seal and the base, then drain, dry and inspect the space between the walls. Check the bill of lading against 5670000N49 at the tailgate.
