Why black, and where it goes

Take the black tank when the liquid sits in daylight or under shop lights for weeks: a water reserve that would turn green behind a natural wall, a fertilizer or nutrient solution that should stay dark, a treatment chemical that loses strength in the sun. The trade is that you cannot see the level through the wall, so plan on a sight tube on the outlet line, a float gauge, or a dipstick through the top. What to check before you buy

1. Outlet. A 1 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting. Dry-fit the valve before you tighten anything, and carry the valve on the stand rather than on the tank wall.
2. Top opening. No lid or manway size is listed for this product. Tell us how you will fill it and vent it, and we will confirm with Snyder what the top of 1007200C34 carries before it ships.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Merced, California, 23 by 23 by 42 inches at 30 lb, strapped to a pallet. Check the part number against 1007200C34 on the bill of lading; the number, not the name, is what identifies the mould. Lift it by the body, not the fitting. Fill it with water once and watch the outlet for a weep, then drain and dry it before the working liquid goes in.
