150 Gallon Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

Where it goes

Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 1-1/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. Thread a 1-1/4 inch valve straight in. Dry-fit it so the handle clears the wall, seal the threads, and support the first length of pipe on its own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid. Wide enough for a hose, a float switch or a small pump inlet; the vent lets air in as the tank drains so the walls are never pulled inward.
