Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. A 2 inch ball valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight in. Dry-fit the valve so the handle clears the wall, seal the threads, and support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own; a 2 inch valve with a hose on it is more weight than a tank wall should carry.
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid. Wide enough for a hose, a float switch or a small pump inlet; the vent lets air in as the tank drains so the walls are never pulled inward.
