What a 15500 gallon tank is for

3. Rating. 1.1 specific gravity, a maximum of 9.18 lb per gallon. Water. Liquid fertilizers are heavier and need a tank rated 1.5 or higher. Keep contents under 120 F.

It is a permitted wide and long load on most lanes, so allow lead time, and the carrier needs a site a long flatbed can reach and turn in. Standing the tank up needs a crane or a large telehandler and a rigging plan with slings that will not point-load the shell; arrange that before the truck is booked. At the tailgate, check the part number against 44814 on the bill of lading, walk the full length of the shell for transit damage, stand it on the slab, and run the water fill acceptance test, watching the pad for settlement as it fills, before it carries anything else.
