- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; tell us the liquid when ordering and the fitting is matched to it, with a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 107 inches up, reached from a step; fill through a dip tube, vent outside on acid and caustic service, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Nine feet of liquid above the outlet is a flooded suction to the last few inches; mount the pump below the outlet for a gravity prime, and fit a low-level float so it never pumps air. Keep the manway closed against vapor loss, label the tank so the fire inspector and the workplace inspector read the same thing, and inspect the headspace wall from the manway with a light; that is where a chemical tank ages first. Where winters freeze, the valve and the first pipe run are what crack; wrap or trace them, and leave the body to ice over from the top without harm.
Who buys the 2,500 in this wall
Ferric and other dense coagulants at a small water plant, caustic or acid at an industrial plant, brine at a food plant, and a fertilizer solution tank on a farm.
