Where this tank goes
Fertilizer blending and storage at a dealer or a large farm, water and wastewater chemical make-up, brine, and any batch process that needs the tank empty between runs are the usual jobs. The 30 degree cone is steep enough that settled solids slide to the outlet rather than ledging on the slope, and short enough to keep the tank at 148 inches overall. Water, liquid fertilizer and the industrial and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Openings, fittings and the stand
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. Thread the valve in before the tank is set, and support the first length of pipe on its own so the fitting carries liquid and not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill from a hose or a pump, mount a small mixer, drop a float in, or get a hand and a brush inside.
- Stand. Stand N-60358 is required and sold separately. With tank, stand and 45870 lb of water the floor carries a concentrated load; your installer and Norwesco's documentation, not this page, set the slab.
