Where this tank goes

This is a wide, comparatively short cone bottom: 141 inches across and 149 inches tall, so it keeps a large capacity under a modest ceiling at the cost of floor space. Fertilizer dealers blending and storing liquid product, water and wastewater plants making up treatment chemical, and processors who batch and want the tank empty between runs are the usual buyers. The 30 degree cone is steep enough that settled solids slide to the outlet instead of ledging on the slope. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the industrial and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. The 1.5 rating means a liquid up to 1.5 times the weight of water, 12.52 lb per gallon. Openings, fittings and the stand

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. Thread the valve in before the tank is set, and support the first length of pipe on its own so the fitting carries liquid and not the weight of a valve and hose.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill from a hose or a pump, mount a mixer, drop a float in, or get a hand and a brush inside.
3. Stand. Stand N-64070 is required and sold separately. Tank, stand and 62550 lb of water is a serious concentrated load; the slab and any anchoring come from your installer and Norwesco's documentation.

Have a loader or crane with wide straps ready before the truck arrives; never lift by a chain around the cone or a strap through the manway. At the tailgate, check the part number against 40551 on the bill of lading, look over the cone, the outlet fitting and the manway for transit damage, set the tank in its stand on a level floor, and fill it with water the first time before it carries anything else.
