Where a 15 degree cone fits
A 15 degree cone is the shallowest cone Norwesco makes. It suits liquids that drain cleanly on their own, such as water, liquid fertilizer, and solutions without heavy settling solids, and it keeps the most capacity under a given ceiling. If your product drops a sludge that needs a steep slope to slide to the outlet, look at the 30 degree tanks instead. The usual homes for this size are fertilizer dealers and large farms, water treatment chemical make-up, and plants that batch or decant and want every gallon out between batches. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Openings, fittings and the stand
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. A 3 inch outlet empties a tank this size at a useful rate; thread the valve in before the tank is set and support the pipe on its own.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, for filling from a hose or a pump, dropping a level float in, or getting a hand and a brush inside.
- Stand. Stand N-62473 is required and sold separately. The stand carries the full weight of tank and contents, so the floor under it matters more than the tank does; have your installer confirm the slab before delivery.
