What to check before you buy
- The floor. The stand needs a flat, level, continuous 73 inch circle under it, with no drain, joint or slope. Level it across both diagonals before the tank goes in.
- Clearance under the outlet. The 2 inch bulkhead fitting sits at the point of the cone inside the stand. Measure the valve, pump inlet or drum you want under it before you order. Norwesco's drawing, linked under Technical Drawing on this page, gives the outlet height.
- The valve. Fit it before the tank is seated; there is little room to swing a wrench afterwards. Support the first length of pipe so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- The manway. 16 inches, threaded and vented: fill, float, mixer bracket, and a hand and a brush for cleaning.
- Anchoring. No anchor hardware comes with the stand; if your site needs it bolted down, that is yours to supply.
