The Enduraplas 200 Gallon Black Horizontal Sump Bottom Leg Tank is a 200-gallon polyethylene haul tank built to move dense liquid on a trailer or skid and drain clean from its sump bottom. What sets it apart for haul duty is the 1.9 specific gravity rating - the top of the polyethylene range - so it is engineered to carry heavy agricultural and industrial liquids that lighter water-only tanks cannot. The black UV-stabilized poly resists sunlight degradation in outdoor and field use, and the molded legs give it a low, stable footprint for mounting and strapping down.

Will this 200 gallon horizontal leg tank work for your load?

The tank measures 31 in high, 47 in wide, and 55 in long, sitting on a 47.0 x 55.0 in footprint - a low, wide profile that keeps the center of gravity down for transport. Full of water it weighs about 1,668 lb, but the 1.9 SG rating means it is built to carry contents up to roughly 3,169 lb at maximum. That is a swing of about 1,500 lb between a water fill and a dense load, so size your trailer, axle rating, and tie-downs against the 3,169 lb max-rated figure - a heavy fertilizer or chemical load can hit that ceiling well before the tank looks full. If you are matching this tank to a specific liquid and volume, run the numbers through our Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide first. The sump bottom earns its keep here - it lets the tank drain down to near-empty for clean changeovers and complete unloading between batches.

Chemical compatibility

This is a polyethylene tank with a 1.9 specific gravity rating, which is what makes it a real candidate for dense chemical service rather than water alone. The resin is recorded in our data as HDLPE but is not yet confirmed - confirm whether your tank is HDLPE or XLPE before putting it into chemical service, because the two resins behave differently against aggressive liquids. Per the manufacturer's chemical-resistance chart, which is concentration- and temperature-specific, this tank is listed compatible with the chemicals below at the noted concentrations. Match your fitting and gasket materials to the service - that pairing, not the tank itself, is where most chemical failures start:

EPDM-gasket services (PVC or PP fittings):

Viton-gasket services (more aggressive acids and oxidizers):

Specialty fitting and gasket services:

Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM) is also listed compatible with PVC fittings and EPDM gaskets. The mistake to avoid: putting an EPDM gasket on a Viton-required service. Hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, hydrofluosilicic, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium hypochlorite all call for Viton; sulfuric acid specifically needs CPVC fittings, and DEF and peracetic acid call for 316SS. Always verify against the OEM chemical-resistance chart at your actual concentration and temperature, and review our full chemical compatibility reference before committing this tank to a chemical duty.
