For diesel exhaust fluid (DEF, 32.5%) and peracetic acid (30%) you want 316 stainless fittings, with EPDM gaskets on DEF and Aflas on peracetic acid. Acids and oxidizers move you to a Viton gasket: hydrochloric acid (37%, PVC), hydrofluoric acid (48%, PP/PVC), hydrofluosilicic acid (26%, PP/PVC), hydrogen peroxide (50%, PVC), phosphoric acid (85%, PVC), and sodium hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC). Sulfuric acid at 98% calls for CPVC fittings with a Viton gasket. Acetic acid (60%) uses PP/PVC with EPDM. Several DEF-adjacent and treatment chemicals run PP or mixed fittings with EPDM, including urea solution (50%, PP/PVC), propylene glycol (PP/316SS), zinc orthophosphate (PP/316SS), sodium bisulfate (PVC/PP), and sodium bisulfite (PVC/PP). The mistake to avoid

The trap with a 1.9 SG tank is treating the rating as a license to fill it to the brim with any heavy liquid. Calcium chloride brine, ferric chloride, and the heavier sulfates all push toward the upper end of that weight band, and pairing the wrong gasket, the wrong fitting metal, or an unverified resin with a strong acid is how a chemical tank fails early.
