Where a hundred gallons goes
At 27 inches wide the tank goes through a standard doorway and down most aisles without turning, and at 29 inches tall it fits under a work surface. In a pickup bed it sits flat against the cab with room beside it. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the common chemicals polyethylene handles are the normal loads. White lets you read the level through the wall in daylight. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water need a heavier rated tank. Keep the lid on between uses; a vented lid lets the tank breathe as it fills and drains, but it is not a seal against spills on a rough road. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 1 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, installed at the factory. A 1 inch ball valve, hose barb or garden hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid. It is big enough to fill from a hose and to see inside, but not to get a hand and a brush in; rinse the tank by swirling water through the lid and draining it out of the outlet.
- Inlet. There is no separate inlet fitting. Fill through the lid.
