The resin grade is recorded as HDLPE pending confirmation, and resin grade is the gating variable for every chemical claim below, so confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before putting any chemical into service. The mistake to avoid: under-rating the tank for your chemical
The most common error is loading a denser chemical than this 1.5 SG tank is built for. Several common ag and water-treatment chemicals require a heavier-duty 1.9 specific gravity tank, not this one — including Ethylene Glycol, Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulfate, Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrofluosilicic Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Peracetic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium Thiosulfate, Sulfuric Acid, and Zinc Orthophosphate. Several of these — sodium hypochlorite, peracetic acid, and the strong acids — also need Viton or Aflas gaskets rather than EPDM.
