The Norwesco 125 gallon horizontal leg tank in white, part number 40298, is a round polyethylene tank 32 inches in diameter and 41 inches long, standing 35 inches tall on its moulded legs, and weighing 47 lb empty. In a pickup, on a UTV or on a small trailer
At 41 inches long and 32 inches wide the tank sits across a pickup bed between the wheel wells or along a UTV cargo bed, and at 35 inches tall it rides above the bed rail, so plan on the tailgate and a tonneau staying open. Full of water it is close to 1040 lb, which a half ton truck carries and most UTVs do not; check the vehicle's payload against the full weight, not the empty one. On the ground the legs need a flat, continuous surface under every one. What goes in it
Water for stock or a garden, spray mix, liquid fertilizer and the common farm chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed. That is a large outlet for a tank this size, so it drains fast by gravity; a 2 inch ball valve, camlock or reducing bushing threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top, wide enough for a fill hose or a small pump pickup. The vent lets the tank breathe as it fills and drains; never plug it.
- Bands. 2 bands optional, part N-61744, for use on a vehicle.
