Water hauling is the normal job: dust control on a site, stock water to a far pasture, a fill tank behind a sprayer, or a reserve on a flatbed that also has to carry other equipment. What to check before you buy

1. The surface under it. A flat bottom tank needs a flat, continuous surface under the whole 134 by 90 inch footprint. On a trailer that means decking, not cross members with gaps; a tank bridging a gap flexes there every time it is filled.
2. The lid. One 8 inch threaded vented lid on top. It takes a fill hose and vents the tank as it drains. It is not a manway you can climb into, so plan to clean the tank through the lid with a wand.
3. The outlet. No outlet fitting is listed on this tank. Tell us where you want the drain and what size, and we confirm what the tank ships with and what to add before it leaves the plant.
4. The liquid. Polyethylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals. Anything heavier than 1.5 times the weight of water, or hotter than 120 F, needs a different tank.
5. Tie-down. Strap over the tank body, never across the lid, and use enough straps that the tank cannot walk sideways when it is half full and sloshing.
