This tank is molded from polyethylene at a 1.5 specific gravity rating. Before you commit it to chemical service, confirm the specific resin grade (HDLPE versus XLPE) with the manufacturer, since resin type affects chemical resistance and that distinction matters for the harsher items below. At the 1.5 SG rating, the following are compatible per the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is concentration- and temperature-specific - always verify against your exact conditions: Acetic Acid at 60% (PP/PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets), Aluminum Sulfate at 50% (PVC, EPDM), Calcium Chloride at 40% (PVC, EPDM), DEF at 32.5% (316SS fittings, EPDM), Ferrous Sulfate at 20% (PVC, EPDM), Magnesium Chloride at 30% (PVC, EPDM), Sodium Carbonate at 30% (PVC, EPDM), Urea Solution at 50% (PP/PVC, EPDM), and Ozonated Water up to 10 PPM (PVC, EPDM).
