• Access is a 16 inch threaded vented manway with the lid size field also reading 16 inches. Sixteen inches admits a fill line, a light, an arm and a brush handle and no more, so on a 130 inch long shell plan every interior job as work reaching in from one opening rather than as work done inside.
• The manway field says threaded and it says vented. Both words carry weight. Threaded means the closure has a defined engagement and will be over-tightened by somebody eventually; vented means there is a designed air path and it is the reason a drawdown does not pull the roof in.
