On a trailer, a flatbed or the ground
This tank is built to be moved full. At 90 inches wide it spans a standard trailer deck, and at 53 inches tall it leaves the top of the manway within reach from the deck for filling and inspection. Full of water the contents alone weigh 20016 lb on top of the 680 lb tank, and at the 1.5 rating limit the contents can reach 30024 lb, so the trailer's axle and tongue ratings, not the tank, set the real limit. Strap it to the deck through the moulded recesses, never across the manway, and use the hold-down bands made for this tank where it will ride on a vehicle. On the ground it needs a flat, continuous surface under the whole footprint; a low profile tank spreads its load wide and does not tolerate a gap under one end. What goes in it
Potable water hauling, stock water, dust control, fire water and liquid fertilizer are the usual loads. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware bouncing down a gravel road.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
