The Norwesco 2500 gallon 30 degree cone bottom tank with poly stand in black, part number 42025, is a polyethylene tank 99 inches in diameter and 116 inches tall on its stand, weighing 889 lb for the tank and stand together. A cone bottom tank drains itself completely: the floor slopes to a single low point, so settled solids and the last few gallons leave through the outlet instead of sitting in a flat bottom. What a cone bottom tank is for
Mixing and batching liquid fertilizer, holding chemicals that settle or crystallize, process tanks that must empty fully between batches, and any job where leaving product in the bottom costs money or contaminates the next load. Openings, the stand and what to check before you buy
- Outlet. A 2 inch outlet at the point of the cone. Your valve goes on before the first fill. Support the valve and the first length of pipe so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware, and leave room under the stand for both.
- Lid. A 16 inch lid on top for filling, a mixer or a level sensor, and access for cleaning. At 116 inches up, plan a step or a platform for whoever opens it.
- The stand. Included, moulded in polyethylene to the 30 degree cone. It needs a flat, level, continuous floor under its whole base; a full tank on a stand is a concentrated load, and the floor rating belongs to your engineer.
- The liquid. The 1.5 rating covers liquids up to 1.5 times the weight of water at up to 120 F. For denser fertilizers and chemicals, see the heavy duty version below.
- Height. 116 inches overall. Measure the door and the ceiling of any building it is going into before you order.
