The Norwesco 3000 gallon 15 degree cone bottom tank, part number 45141, is a white polyethylene tank 91 inches in diameter and 120 inches tall, weighing 461 lb empty. It is the tallest tank on Norwesco's 91 inch, 15 degree cone: the same footprint as the smaller 15 degree tanks, with ten feet of height carrying the volume. The outlet is a 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone, sized so that 3000 gallons leaves the tank at a useful rate; on top is a 16 inch threaded vented manway. The rating is 1.5 specific gravity, 12.52 lb per gallon. Norwesco states the resin is FDA compliant, the service limit is 120 F, and the warranty is 3 years. It needs Norwesco's stand, part number 64090, sold separately. For liquids heavier than 1.5 times water, the same tank is made at a 1.9 rating as the 3000 gallon 15 degree heavy duty cone bottom tank in blue.

Where it goes

Water, liquid fertilizer, brine and the common chemicals polyethylene handles, up to 1.5 times the weight of water and under 120 F. Openings, fittings and the stand
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. Keep the valve and the first run of pipe at 3 inches so the drain speed is not throttled at the first elbow. With a full tank above it, fit the valve before the tank is seated and support the pipe on its own.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway, reached from a platform at 120 inches; plan the fill and the level sender so routine work never needs a climb.
- Stand. Norwesco's stand 64090 serves the 91 inch, 15 degree family. Its height sets what fits under the outlet; measure the valve or pump before you order.
- Floor. A 91 inch circle, flat, level and continuous, designed by your installer for the full weight of tank and contents at the stand feet.
