Norwesco 2650 Gallon Elliptical Leg Tank in Black with Baffles

On the trailer

Baffles are the reason to buy this tank over a plain leg tank of the same size. A half full tank of liquid with nothing inside it moves as one slug: it hits the front wall when you brake and the side wall when you turn, and on a trailer that is a load that steers you. The baffles split that slug into smaller ones that arrive at different times. The tank still needs a deck or a cradle that supports the full length of the moulded legs, straps through the leg recesses that bear on the body and never on the manway, and running gear rated for the liquid you carry: with a 1.9 liquid aboard that is more than twenty tons. What goes in it

The 1.9 rating is what sets this tank apart: liquid fertilizers, brines and the heavy treatment chemicals that a 1.5 tank cannot carry are inside its range. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a siphon tube, factory installed, supplied with a 2 inch reducer. The siphon tube draws from the floor of the tank, so it empties nearly dry; run the outlet at 3 inches for fast unloading or thread the reducer in for 2 inch hose. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 22 inch hinged lockable manway on top: wide enough to fill from a pump, to inspect the baffles, and to get inside the tank to clean it.

The tank ships LTL from the nearest of Norwesco's plants in Fairfield, Texas; Lancaster, Ohio; or St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, as a 122 by 88 by 82 inch load at 1054 lb. That is a flatbed or a tall trailer, not a liftgate, so have a forklift or a loader with wide straps ready, or tell us and we will plan the unload with you.
