The 1.9 rating supports common bulk chemicals including sulfuric acid at 98% (CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets), hydrochloric acid at 37% (PVC, Viton), phosphoric acid at 85% (PVC, Viton), sodium hypochlorite below 16.5% (PVC, Viton), hydrogen peroxide at 50% (PVC, Viton), ferric chloride at 50% (PVC, EPDM), aluminum sulfate at 50% (PVC, EPDM), hydrofluoric acid at 48% (PP/PVC, Viton), peracetic acid at 30% (316SS, Aflas), potassium hydroxide saturated (PVC, EPDM), DEF at 32.5% (316SS, EPDM), and urea solution at 50% (PP/PVC, EPDM), among others such as acetic acid, calcium chloride, ethylene glycol, ferric sulfate, sodium carbonate, and polyaluminum chloride. Note the fitting and gasket material called out per chemical - matching the wetted hardware to the chemistry matters as much as the resin itself. The mistake to avoid
The most common error on a high-SG tank like this is matching the resin but mismatching the wetted hardware and gasket. The 1.9 SG rating governs structural load, not chemical attack, so spec each fitting, gasket, and valve to the exact chemical and concentration you are storing. Watch the entries that break from the usual PVC/EPDM pattern: sulfuric acid at 98% needs CPVC with Viton; sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide call for Viton; peracetic acid needs 316SS with Aflas; and DEF, propylene glycol, and zinc orthophosphate all call for 316SS hardware - do not default a DEF run to a PVC bulkhead fitting.
