Why the heavy duty wall

Buy this part number when the liquid is denser than water and still has to leave through the bottom. A cone collects everything at one low point, so a batch drains completely and settled solids leave with the product instead of building up on a flat floor. Brines, coagulants, heavy fertilizer blends and many acids sit above 1.0 specific gravity; the SDS for your liquid gives the figure, and that figure decides the wall. If it is 1.5 or less, the standard wall version of this shell does the same job with less polyethylene, and we list it too. If it is above 1.9, this tank is the wrong vessel and we should talk before anything is ordered.

What to settle before you order

1. The stand. A cone cannot sit on its own bottom. It is carried in a stand or a structure sized to the loaded weight, which is a separate purchase. Our cone bottom stand compatibility matrix shows how stands pair with Snyder tanks; ask us about the stand with the tank.
2. The foundation. Close to 48 tons of water, more with a denser liquid, goes through the stand into a slab. At this size that slab belongs with an engineer looking at the real loads.
3. The outlet. No outlet fitting is listed for this tank. Send us the pipe size and valve you need at the cone and we confirm the fitting with Snyder before it ships.
4. The level. You cannot see the liquid through a black wall. Plan a gauge from day one; our level gauge selection guide compares radar, ultrasonic, hydrostatic and magnetostrictive options.
5. Heat. A black tank in full sun runs warm. Keep the contents under 100 F.

At 142 inches across it is wider than a standard trailer, so the haul is planned around your site: tell us about the gate, the last stretch of road, any overhead lines and where the truck can stand.
